DACH GESUCHT! - Together for more housing in Karlsruhe
02.09.2024The start of the semester is approaching and for many students the difficult search for affordable accommodation is now beginning. The housing market in Karlsruhe is very tight and finding a suitable roof over your head can be particularly challenging for first semester students.
With the “DACH GESUCHT!” campaign, we want to draw attention to the difficult housing situation together with the Science Office of the City of Karlsruhe and with the support of the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts Baden-Württemberg. The campaign appeals to apartment owners to rent out unused rooms, converted attics or basements to students.A special highlight of the campaign: a KVV streetcar with the “DACH GESUCHT!” motif running through Karlsruhe. This streetcar reaches around 167 million passengers every year, drawing the attention of many people to the topic of student housing.Do you have free living space? Then help and rent it out to students!
